christmas sale.

I'm so my mother's daughter. I can't resist a sale. I'm always "planning ahead." Honestly that does get me some pretty great deals and I use that to justify spending later but... I do sometimes feel a little out of control.

Anyway, Christmas sales were pretty good to me :) I am planning for next years Christmas and got some really cute ornaments and cards and everything else. We may have actually even bought two trees.

I just wanted to share my newest, cutest ornaments though! They are some adorable birds that I found at Hobby Lobby. I'm not sure if they're clay or metal but I know that they'll look FANTASTIC on my tree.

Everything New!

So lots and lots of fun has happened but so much of it has happened that once again... I've fallen terribly behind on my posting. So in short:

We had a wonderful Christmas in Indiana with lots of fun with the Knechts! Complete with the most wonderful gifts of a tent and two sleeping bags! I hope to use them next week on a little excursion. I'm not sure if Dave will be joining me since he's sworn I'm crazy and is thinking I have no idea what I'll be getting myself into.

We also wrote new years resolutions! Along with the obvious regular goals to improve ourselves I added my first married person goal!! "To help Dave know when he is wrong in a very sweet way." Dave then suddenly felt inspired to write "Get Hannah to obey me always in a very sweet and nice way." So I say we've got some really great times ahead of us :)

In addition to our resolutions, we've started a "75 Things To Do Before We Die" list. Dave's has on it: "Go sky diving. Go to Africa. Go hunting.[I was appalled] and Go on a humanitarian trip." I had things like: "Swim with dolphins. Invent my own sport. Skinny dip in the Mediterranean. and Travel the world" - Good thing Dave is going to be a dentist :)

We also had our EIGHT MONTH ANNIVERSARY!! It sounds so long but to us it seems like is barely been a day! To celebrate, Dave surprised me and made a life long dream come true.... We got ANNIVERSARY FISH!! We now have three very sweet goldfish now added to our home: Penny, Harold, and Chester. Unfortunately, we can't tell them apart yet so as of now, their names are all interchangeable.

I also got a hair cut!!! I don't know if it's good or bad but I'm personally thinking it looks mostly bad [especially since sweet Dave made the rather scarring comment of how I looked like I'm "anime" I've had a little issue with my hair since then. For those of you who don't know what anime is, by definition it's "a Japanese style of motion-picture animation, characterized by highly stylized, colorful art, futuristic settings, violence, and sexuality."] In other words, not the highest compliment you can pay someone. I like to think I look almost mod? Which even if that's bad too means I'll still grow these bangs out in 2 months tops!!
